Shahram Mokri's latest film Fish & Cat will be screened in the Horizons competition section in Venice Film Festival, 2013.
In an interview with Mehr News Agency, Mokri said: "Christophe Rezaei is mastering the soundtrack & the film will be ready for screening in a few days. We will then apply for a Screening Licence in Iran."
"The film runs for 127 minutes, he added, "& Mohammad Atebbaei holds the right to its international distribution; our first screening will be at this year's Fajr Int'l Film Festival in Tehran."
Despite having a licence, Shahram Mokri's first film, Ashkan, the Sacred Ring & Other Stories (2008) never saw the light of day in Iranian theatres.
Fish & Cat is one of the 17 films competing in the Horizons section of Venice Film Festival. Bernardo Bertolucci will head the jury of this year's edition which will be held from Aug 28th to Sep 7th.
